A Redskins Blog by a kid for kids of all ages.
I think looking back at the past the Redskins had a good season all in all but when they lost to the Seahawks in the postseason 10-20 they could've won but they didn't take advantage of having chances to score. I wouldn't mind if they get blown out by the Steelers but the Giants? Well I guess they have tiki Barber but the Redskins have a much better defense and they can't stop the run? I can't talk about this anymore.
Looking at the draft I think the Redskins have one of the worst spots in it. Because I don't think College Football is that interesting except when my favorite college, Ucla plays, I pretty much think this year there are not many players that can step up and make a difference in this Club. So we will have to wait and find out. Will the Redskins have a spectacular season and get in the super bowl or close to it or will they go into the offseason very unpositive? Keep checking Redskins Nation to find out!
I will probably not be forgiven but I am now following baseball. I will still do my blog. Sorry fans. Please forgive me.
Today's game like I said earlier this game is must-win for the Redskins. If they don't win this they will have to play the Giants which won't be too hard and then the Eagles which will be a hard game to win because of T.O and Donovan McNabb but let's look at today's game which should be a Redskins win although the 49'ers have some good players they just can't use them in a good way too score points. So can Mark Brunell and the Redskins dominate or will they just not get into a rhythm and the 49"ers win?
I guess my family was wrong about the game last week because they lost 21-28. Even if they played a horrible game last week and the week before you can say this, the Redskins are better than last year. If you look at the schedule the Redskins have this year they have done better than last year and on Sunday the 23 of 2005 they will be playing the 49'ers which their team might be the worst in the nfl so if they win they are 4-2. After that they will be playing the Giants which I think they will win so they are 5-2 going into week 9 which may be thought to win because they will be playing the Eagles so they have a season right now that could go any way.

Sorry that I haven't been posting but the Redskins lost to the Broncos 19-21. The Redskins now will face the Chiefs and my whole family thinks that the Redskins will win because the Chiefs have an okay defense and an okay offense but their offense can be great. So can the Redskins dominate the game and take home a win or will they play horrible and take a loss.
What I think about the Redskins is that they can be a really good team but they have to score a lot more frequently to be a Super Bowl Contender.
Yesterday, the Redskins played the Seahawks which was a very exciting game. At first, the Redskins win the coin toss and chose to receive. In the first quarter the only damage that was really done was that the Seahawks took a 3-0 lead so you're thinking this game could get out of hand. In the late second quarter you start to feel like the Redskins can win because the Redskins were driving play after play to score the first touchdown of the game so at the end of the first half it was 7-3, Redskins. In the second half things really get interesting because the Redskins started to drive play by play to the endzone again so it is 14-3 Redskins. So now everybody should think a sure win for the Redskins but let's find out. But later in the 3rd quarter the Seahawks started to drive and scored their first touchdown so it is 10- 14. Now you should start to get worried because if the Seahawks score a touchdown they will be winning so the Redskins really need to score. Now the Redskins start to drive and score a field goal so it is 17-10, Redskins. Now you could think two ways, the Redskins now have a pretty good chance of winning or, the Redskins are still in danger. So at the end of the 3rd quarter the Redskins are leading 17-10. In the late fourth quarter with a little over one minute left the Redskins give up a touchdown because the Seahawks were just driving. So the Redskins have about one minute to score when Mark Brunell throws an interception so the Seahawks are in field goal range. I was feeling so disappointed but then a couple plays later the Seahawks miss the field goal so they got to overtime and the Redskins won the coin toss and then after their drive they won. Oh my GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE 3-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tommorow the Redskins will play the Seahawks. I don't know much about the Seahawks but I know that the Redskins will have a challenge defending Matt Hassleback and Shaun Alexander so the defense will have to step up. One thing the Redskins need to do is step up their offense too because the Seahawks are one pretty good team with not such good defense so Mark Brunell needs to step up.
A lot of people right now think the Redskins will go to the playoffs but they might be wrong because their offense needs to step up so the Redskins can win a lot of games. Right now they win because of their defense but when the defense gives up a touchdown how will they win consistently?
I dislike bye weeks so much because some rabid Redskins fans like me want to watch them play every week and the Redskins have a bye this week. Man, I really dislike bye weeks.
Im sorry I haven't been writing posts lately. I couldn't find anything interesting to write about.
There was no evidence the Redskins could win when they were losing 13-0 late in the fourth quarter. And then things come back. On fourth and 15 and the Redskins have the ball Mark Brunell passed to Santana Moss for a touchdown. Now, they have a chance when it is 6-13. Then the Cowboys get a penalty so it is definite the Redskins will get the ball. With 2 minutes and 52 seconds left the Redskins start their last drive. On the Redskins second play Mark Brunell throws a 70 yard bomb to Santana Moss in the endzone so the score is 14-13 final. They did it! They won in Dallas for the first time since 1995. Good game Redskins. Their record is now 2-0! Yahoo!
Is the Redskins-Cowboys rivalry really a rivalry? I don't think so and Michael Wilbon doesn't either because a rivalry is when you can never predict which of the two teams will win and the Redskins-Cowboy rivalry is just the Cowboys winning almost every single game so that is not a rivalry. But could Mark Brunell bring back the team to make this a rivalry. Or could the Cowboys just defeat the Redskins like almost always. Well if you want to know who won you could either watch the game, read my blog tomorrow, or check on a website like Espn, ect.
The Redskins released Antonio Brown and signed Nick Novak. I think this was a smart move because when I was watching the Redskins play the Ravens in the preseason he dropped a sure touchdown pass from Brunell. He also dropped every other pass Brunell threw to him. So, I think this was a good decision by the Redskins and I hope this will help them a lot.
Jon Jansen will never have a season without any injuries. Last year he got injured in the first preseason game and was out for the whole season. This year, he broke two thumbs and is still playing. Imagine that--trying to block 300 pound players without using your thumbs. You probably can't, so you'd have to use your thumbs and that would hurt. That would feel like you got shot in the chest.
On Monday the Redskins face the Cowboys which will be a great game. I think the Cowboys will win because the Redskins have been dominated by the Cowboys in the past but i hope the Redskins will. Here is a report about the game that gives you details about the game. Here, take a look at the Cowboys roster. Also, take a look at the Redskins roster.
Yesterday, Ramsey said that he does not want to leave but will be a backup. I think that's good because Jason Campbell needs to practice because right now he is probably a person like Ramsey and that won't do good to us. Here is a good article about Ramsey staying with the Redskins.
Finally the Redskins made the descision to take out Ramsey and put in Brunell. I hope this change will make the team better.
Today's game was three things, exciting, sad, and disturbing. Earlier today I was thinking this game wouldn't be that close. Am I right? Or am I wrong? Well, lets find out. Ok, in the beginning the Bears won the toss and they chose to receive. After that, Ramsey got hurt so Brunell came in and made the score 6-0 going in to halftime. Then things got disturbing. Antonio
The Redskins play tomorrow against the Bears. The Bears could be a good team but they will have to develop their young players for a couple of years so that means this year their goal is to be an average team. If you compare the Redskins with the Bears you would probably think the Redskins would be better but if you really think about it the Redskins are a below average team like the Bears, but the Redskins have a better roster so I would pick the Redskins to win this game. Here, take a look at the Bears roster. So the Redskins might have the better roster. So I think the Redskins will win but you never know what could happen.
Here is an interesting fact. The Washington Redskins are worth 1.1 billion dollars. They are the most valuable franchise in the NFL. It's really amazing how valuable they are when they are like the worst team.
If you think about the Redskins they really aren't that good. Here, look at some facts. One, they had the most penalties in the NFC this preseason and had 115 penalties last regular season. Second, they most likely will start Ramsey instead of Brunell which I think is a horrible decision because Brunell has more expierence in the NFL by 8 years. Third, the Redskins need a better roster because their roster (their 2005 roster isn't out yet) right now has people that probably won't be a great player like Ramsey. Fourth, Clinton Portis didn't have the season the Redskins were hoping for and and I think the Redskins payed Clinton Portis too much money. Take a look at his numbers:
