Will the Redksins go to the Playoffs?

A lot of people right now think the Redskins will go to the playoffs but they might be wrong because their offense needs to step up so the Redskins can win a lot of games. Right now they win because of their defense but when the defense gives up a touchdown how will they win consistently?

Bye Weeks

I dislike bye weeks so much because some rabid Redskins fans like me want to watch them play every week and the Redskins have a bye this week. Man, I really dislike bye weeks.

The Cowboys Get DEFEATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was no evidence the Redskins could win when they were losing 13-0 late in the fourth quarter. And then things come back. On fourth and 15 and the Redskins have the ball Mark Brunell passed to Santana Moss for a touchdown. Now, they have a chance when it is 6-13. Then the Cowboys get a penalty so it is definite the Redskins will get the ball. With 2 minutes and 52 seconds left the Redskins start their last drive. On the Redskins second play Mark Brunell throws a 70 yard bomb to Santana Moss in the endzone so the score is 14-13 final. They did it! They won in Dallas for the first time since 1995. Good game Redskins. Their record is now 2-0! Yahoo!

Is The Redskins-Cowboys Rivalry Really A Rivalry?

Is the Redskins-Cowboys rivalry really a rivalry? I don't think so and Michael Wilbon doesn't either because a rivalry is when you can never predict which of the two teams will win and the Redskins-Cowboy rivalry is just the Cowboys winning almost every single game so that is not a rivalry. But could Mark Brunell bring back the team to make this a rivalry. Or could the Cowboys just defeat the Redskins like almost always. Well if you want to know who won you could either watch the game, read my blog tomorrow, or check on a website like Espn, ect.

The Legend Of Antonio Brown

The Redskins released Antonio Brown and signed Nick Novak. I think this was a smart move because when I was watching the Redskins play the Ravens in the preseason he dropped a sure touchdown pass from Brunell. He also dropped every other pass Brunell threw to him. So, I think this was a good decision by the Redskins and I hope this will help them a lot.

The Pain Continues

Jon Jansen will never have a season without any injuries. Last year he got injured in the first preseason game and was out for the whole season. This year, he broke two thumbs and is still playing. Imagine that--trying to block 300 pound players without using your thumbs. You probably can't, so you'd have to use your thumbs and that would hurt. That would feel like you got shot in the chest.

Jon Janson will hopefully be good this year and hopefully his injuries won't get worse. Here is a link to an article in the Washington Post about Jon Jansen.

Monday's Game

On Monday the Redskins face the Cowboys which will be a great game. I think the Cowboys will win because the Redskins have been dominated by the Cowboys in the past but i hope the Redskins will. Here is a report about the game that gives you details about the game. Here, take a look at the Cowboys roster. Also, take a look at the Redskins roster.

The Backup

Yesterday, Ramsey said that he does not want to leave but will be a backup. I think that's good because Jason Campbell needs to practice because right now he is probably a person like Ramsey and that won't do good to us. Here is a good article about Ramsey staying with the Redskins.

Finally!

Finally the Redskins made the descision to take out Ramsey and put in Brunell. I hope this change will make the team better.
Here is a good article about the switching quarterbacks. I personally think that Gibbs is doing a bad job because he paid money on Brunell and then he drafted Jason Campbell.

The Exciting, Sad, And Disturbing Football Game

Today's game was three things, exciting, sad, and disturbing. Earlier today I was thinking this game wouldn't be that close. Am I right? Or am I wrong? Well, lets find out. Ok, in the beginning the Bears won the toss and they chose to receive. After that, Ramsey got hurt so Brunell came in and made the score 6-0 going in to halftime. Then things got disturbing. Antonio
Brown fumbled a kickoff return to start the 3rd quarter. Then, the Bears scored after a great drive to make the the game 7-6, Bears. Then, late in the 3rd quarter the redskins get a great drive and make a field goal so now its 9-7, Redskins. And the Redskins win 9-7. The exciting part in the game was that the Redskins played a great game. The sad part was Ramsey getting injured. And, the disturbing part was when they were losing 6-7.

Tomorrows game

The Redskins play tomorrow against the Bears. The Bears could be a good team but they will have to develop their young players for a couple of years so that means this year their goal is to be an average team. If you compare the Redskins with the Bears you would probably think the Redskins would be better but if you really think about it the Redskins are a below average team like the Bears, but the Redskins have a better roster so I would pick the Redskins to win this game. Here, take a look at the Bears roster. So the Redskins might have the better roster. So I think the Redskins will win but you never know what could happen.

An Interesting Fact

Here is an interesting fact. The Washington Redskins are worth 1.1 billion dollars. They are the most valuable franchise in the NFL. It's really amazing how valuable they are when they are like the worst team.

Are We Any Good?

If you think about the Redskins they really aren't that good. Here, look at some facts. One, they had the most penalties in the NFC this preseason and had 115 penalties last regular season. Second, they most likely will start Ramsey instead of Brunell which I think is a horrible decision because Brunell has more expierence in the NFL by 8 years. Third, the Redskins need a better roster because their roster (their 2005 roster isn't out yet) right now has people that probably won't be a great player like Ramsey. Fourth, Clinton Portis didn't have the season the Redskins were hoping for and and I think the Redskins payed Clinton Portis too much money. Take a look at his numbers:
G GS Att Yards Avg Lg TD 20+ FD
15 15 343 1315 3.8 64 5 5 65

His numbers aren't that good and Joe Gibbs said Portis will do better this year. I hope that is true.
The Redskins have another problem and that is their strategy on the field. Last year, they depended on their defense to win games and good teams play good offense and defense and the Redskins need to do that but they really can't because their roster isn't good, at least not yet. Another thing, Will Santana Moss help the offense?. I don't really know much about him to know if he will help the Redskins but I hope he does. The question is, will they be better than last year? I hope so, but i doubt they will.
